One thing you should know is that this band is pretty good live. It should not be a side band when you are going to a concert. I saw there guys with Fall-out-Boy, and obviously FOB was better, but this band deserved to be a main performance band. This is the old cd, but there new cd is not as good as the old one. Cartel is probably one of my favorite bands ever. It doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that they are new or popular, but I think one of the best things about the band is the singer. His voice is unique and it clearly shows when he is singing. It’s not just this though, its somewhat all about the lyrics. Lyrically, Cartel is a very good band.

How many of you actually remember this song? You would have to have heard it atleast 10 years ago. Can you even remember that long ago? For some reason, even when you try to remember back that far, all I can remember is the beautiful summers, long too, mind you. Even though the winters did happen, all that ever stays in my head are the summers, I don’t really know why. Maybe it has something to do with not having any homework or work. (PERIOD. )

Well, now, those times are over, and its time to move on to bigger and better things, not to say that it won’t be fun or anything, it’ll just be a little harder to live with it. More Responsibilities and yada yada yada. This is where the music comes along; it helps us remember all of those past times of greatness and happiness. Actually, the brain function involved with that is very cognitive and unconscious.

You don’t have to even think about trying to remember it; it just happens. So, the next time you are in a car with all of your friends, try to put on some good music, because maybe friendship a memory that you will want to keep for the rest of your life, well, as long as you can remember it anyways.So, maybe one last time, just for me, remember this video and the times when you had fun (Not that youre not having fun now )

Apart from all of the rock that you are listening, this is something that you should definitely listen to what Imogen has to offer. Actually, I’ll post another video here that is a live performance, and believe me she is good. I believe imogen Heap is an UK artist, and not very popular there for reasons that I cannot say. The first paragraph from wikipedia says:

“Imogen Heap (pronounced /ˈɪmoÊŠdÊ’É™n ˈhiË?p/[1]) (born December 9, 1977) is a Grammy nominated English singer-songwriter from Romford, London, most famous for her work as part of Frou Frou and for her 2005 solo record Speak for Yourself, which she wrote, produced and mixed herself. In 2006, she was nominated for two Grammy Awards.”

This last video down here you have to check out. She does all of the music orientation by herself, all with some simple recording technology. Apart from her ability to hit the highest note possible, she can also be a whole band by herself. Now, if you listen to the cd, (No, not from Frou Frou, her old band that she was in) you will find that she sounds just the same, unlike a lot of other rock bands (cough. yellowcard :p)

Hello there folks! How are we doing today? Long time no see eh? Well, sorry about the long little week break there, but worry not, because I’m about to be back on track with the things that I do best: Music Talk. I know the band “Brand New” is not a mostly fashionable band, and heck, they aren’t even front stage material, but you do have to admire the lead singer as they played their way through Warped Tour last year. Yes, what a fun time it was!

Anyways, this is the song that reminds me of the summer nights spend driving around the 2 mile radius town calmly though. It was a good summer back then. This is probably a bad idea but when you listen to songs like these you have to think back to the times when you were in high school playing your soccer games, tennis games, and on the ride to the games, you would listen to Brand New to pump yourself up to do better. Maybe not this song, but I’m sure Gurenica is about to kick your butt when you listen to you.

Anyways, some similar bands to Brand New would be, Starting Line, Cute is what we Aim for, Jack’s Mannequin, and many more. I suggest visiting Pandoras Music site, or even Last.fm. Need more music? I had no idea! Hello there! For all of your alternative rock fans out there, I figure you have already looked at the video that is playing. It is one of the best number one hits that the band Number One Fan has put out there. When I first listened to it, it sounded pretty decent, until the slow part came… then I was like, “Ya know what? This song is not half bad” (this happens at around 2 minutes and 27 seconds into the video up there)

It was kinda weird to see that the lead singer has a chin ring? Is that what its called? Whatever it was, I actually didn’t see the ring until I watched the video for the 2nd time around. Nevertheless, this song has potential for being something that you listen to in order to get hyped up for a basketball game, or pre-party hype. Whatever it is that you wish. I feel a little cramped when I don’t know what the singer is actually singing about, I mean, a good song will always have both MEANING and be sung well. I’ll display the lyrics for you below. My name is Perceval, and I will be the new writer taking over Music Bender. I think I’m going to be focusing on the type of music that I listen to here at Music Bender, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t be putting in a little bit of change every now and then. I don’t really have one type of music taste, so don’t be sacred thinking that I will only be talking about Rap, or only about Rock. Yes, I may favor some of the music, but if you ever have any comments to whether I should change or add in more different types of music feel free to do so.
