Music Bender

The Goo Goo Dolls have to be one of my most favored bands. Their videos range from good to not so much, but the music is most definitely what speaks to me and so many of their fans. My favorites include “Big Machine”, “Here is Gone”, and “Give a Little Bit”, but I can never settle on just one. Here are a few videos that I’ll share with you, because these songs rock too! Enjoy!

Oh, but these are some pretty awesome songs to get it on to. Not that I’ve ever gotten it on. Nor listened to any of these songs. *shifty eyes*

10. Animals by Nickelback. Don’t even try to deny it: you’ve seen yourself in the same ‘position’ as the lead singer before.

9. Inside of You by Hoobastank. Lesser known, but uh… the title is pretty self-explanatory.

8. Du Hast by Rammstein. As quoted by a friend: “It sounds like some sort of weird sex song!” Yes, yes it does.

7. Dreamweaver by Kansas. You know you want it!

6. American Woman as performed by Lenny Kravitz. Yeah, American women.

5.This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole. Or it might be a one night stand. Regardless, this song is some kind of wonderful.

4. Afternoon Delight as performed by Will Ferrell in Anchorman. Up for a little afternoon delight?

3. We Are The Champions by Queen. You know you’ve always wanted to. Or is that just me?

2. Scotty Doesn’t Know by Lustra. Apt particularly if you’re getting it on with someone that you shouldn’t be. Aheh. Not that you’d ever do something like that.

1. Let’s Get it On by Marvin Gaye. Was there ever any doubt?

Yes, it’s Friday! Unwind from that awful week you’ve just endured, because it’s the weekend (my apologies to those of you on the weekend shift!), and rewind with a classic party video. It’s the excellent B-52’s and their ode to the be-bopper of crustaceans, the Rock Lobster!

You’ll notice at the beginning of this clip the word ‘Rage’ flash on the screen - Rage is an Australian all-night music show shown on the ABC network (in Australia, natch), usually running commercial free from 11pm til 6am. The amount of times I sat up all night watching it and this clip was shown… Enjoy!

Update: BB commented (see the full post) about Peter from ‘the Family Guy’ singing this song; having never heard it, I just had to find it on YouTube - and I did! Excellent!
