Hello, Welcome, and Greetings!

by Staff Writer

Welcome to MusicBender.com, one of the new entertainment blogs from 451Press.com, launching today along with a bunch of sister blogs covering a range of topics.

Music Bender, as you will have already worked out for yourself, is to cover music in various ways: music news, videos, classic album overviews, and opinion. While my own tastes tend to cover guitar-based music (from Americana to Metal), I’ll also be dabbling in other areas that interest me as well: country, rap, R&B, and so on. I’ll try not to wade too far out of my depth :)

My name is Mark, and I’ve been writing about music in various formats since the mid ’90s. I’ve run successful music websites, and the official sites of a number of big-name acts. I’ve also been blogging for the last few years, so being able to blog about music for 451 Press was something I couldn’t resist.

I hope you enjoy Music Bender, and find it usefull. It’s going to be great to dig my fingers into the big steaming pile of music out there and get my nails dirty.

On this date in 1962, Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin was born -- no doubt in little tan shorts. I have no idea how he got the nickname "Crocodile Hunter" as he didn't actually kill the crocs he [...]
